From the 2003 Women's Retreat

God's Complete Woman

Here are some reflections written for the 2003 retreat by Patricia Coleman, a member of the retreat planning committee:

God's Complete Woman

To be God's complete woman

is a growing process.

And his plan for us all:

to know who you are

and whose you are

and to hasten to his call,

to know that when warfare comes

--and it will--

that you should first seek his face,

that you should pray without ceasing,

for he said,

"For you, sufficient is my grace,"

to know that when weeping comes

--and it will--

it endures for a night,

but joy, oh the joy,

when you step out on faith

that cometh with the light,

to know that when the battle comes

--and it will--

it belongs to the Lord,

but also know

that it is already won,

and that the victory is yours,

to know that when the healing comes

--and it will--

it is the Holy Spirit of the Lord,

so feel it, receive it,

all you women of God:

let us rejoice and be on one accord.

To be God's complete woman,

let there be no doubt,

it comes by his grace and mercy,

but not without a price,

but "be ye confident of this very thing:

that he which hath begun a good work in you

will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ!"
