Annual Celebration 2008 Homecoming and Revival
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2008
9:30 a.m. -- Church school Classes available for all ages (Note that there is no 8:00 a.m. service on October 12, 2008)
10:45 a.m. -- Devotional service Singing, prayer, scripture, and sharing (If you're attending the 11 a.m. service, it's good to arrive in the sanctuary before the devotional service begins to ensure the seat that you would like.)
11:00 a.m. -- Morning worship service Worship leader: Minister Rita Armstead from Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site), Fredericksburg, Virginia Musical selections by all six of our choirs, including the Boyd's Volunteer Choir, Gospel Choir, Intermediate Choir, L.A. Davies Chorale, Men's Chorus, and Senior Choir Sermon by our pastor, the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies Time of remembering those who have gone before (There will be no 8:00 a.m. service on October 12, 2008, so that we can all worship together at 11:00 a.m.) (If the sanctuary and balcony become full, as they probably will, there will be overflow seating with a large-screen TV on the lower level of the building)
1:00 p.m. -- Homecoming dinner Great food for all served on the lower level of the church building (All households of Shiloh Old Site are asked to provide a dessert, either regular or sugar-free) (There will be a second seating for those who arrive somewhat later for the afternoon service)
