But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without uncertainty of insincerity. James 3:17
Shiloh Old Site's Leadership Council LATE IN 2003, Pastor Lawrence A. Davies established a "Leadership Council." Its membership consists of the acting leader of each board, club, choir, or other organization or auxiliary in the church, as well as the pastor and ministerial associates. The Leadership Council is not a policy-making body. Its purpose is rather to advance the mission and vision of the church in a cohesive and coordinated way. This is done by: A) Providing a bimonthly, quarterly, or more frequent meeting for ongoing communication and consultation between all ministers, boards, committees, choirs, clubs, and other auxiliaries of the church. B) Promoting opportunities and structures, approved by the church, to encourage existing groups within the church to work together with greater mutuality and support. C) Developing opportunities and structures that can provide leadership training and a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of organizations and groups within the church. D) Proposing and overseeing unique programs, celebrations, and other special efforts that fall outside the normal responsibility of any single group in the church. Meetings of the Leadership Council are chaired by the pastor, or, when necessary, by a substitute selected by the pastor. A secretary, appointed by the council, takes informative minutes at each meeting and afterwards makes copies available, as soon as possible, to each member of the council.
