2004 Eighth Annual Men’s Retreat:

"Men Building Godly Homes"

THE 2004 MEN'S RETREAT was held from Friday evening September 17 through Sunday morning September 19 at Massaneta Springs in the Shenandoah Valley, southeast of Harrisonburg, Virginia. It was designed to give Christian men the opportunity to focus on the blessings and benefits of Christ-centered lives.

The theme for the 2004 retreat was “Men Building Godly Homes.” The planners of the retreat felt that God’s Word should be seen not just a lamp to illuminate our paths but also as a map, designed and produced by God to help us get and stay on course as we develop the spiritual gifts that God provides for us.

This retreat aimed to replace the stress that many men feel with a feeling of serenity. It aimed to replace men's fears with faith, satisfy men's spiritual hunger with "manna from on high," and cause men to become better servants for their Savior.

The planners of the retreat felt that just as the body needs periodic check-ups to maintain good health, so too our souls need periodic check-ups to maintain good spiritual health. Therefore, the 2004 men's retreat tried to provide participants with a spiritual check-up that would be inspiring and spiritually rewarding.

The 2005 retreat will be held at the same location on the third weekend of September.
