Shiloh Old Site's Pastoral Ministries

Rev. Norman Owens

Ministerial associate

Blessed are they who trust in the Lord, whose trust is in the Lord alone. They shall be like a tree planted by the waters, sending forth its roots by a stream: it does not sense the coming of heat, its leaves are ever fresh (Jeremiah 17:7-8a).

NORMAN OWENS has served as a ministerial associate at Shiloh Old Site since December 30, 2001. He has earned an Associate in Theology degree from Fredericksburg Bible Institute and was ordained at Shiloh Old Site on January 13, 2007.

Rev. Owens attended Charles County public schools in Maryland. He has been employed at Arlington National Cemetery since 1973. He moved to the Fredericksburg area in 1985.

Rev. Owens enjoys visiting the sick and trying to bring them a little joy. He formerly sang with the Shiloh Old Site Gospel Choir and has long been involved in planning men's retreats at Shiloh Old Site. In addition to serving as a Sunday school teacher, he speaks from time to time, both at Shiloh Old Site and at other churches. "I love my church family," he says.

He is married to Deaconess Jackie Owens. They have two children and three grandchildren.
