Shiloh Old Site's Pastoral Ministries Minister Patricia Coleman Ministerial associate
And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, "Arise and eat!" 1 Kings 19:5
She was born in Fredericksburg and attended the city's public schools, then received job training in the secretarial field. Since 1987, she has been a secretary at Rappahannock Legal Services in Fredericksburg. She says that she is blessed to have employment such as this because the job gives her many opportunities to be an encouragement to those who are going through difficult situations, and thereby she is sometimes able to make a difference in someone's life. The job also gives her many opportunities to grow as a Christian. Minister Coleman was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) at age 8, but drifted from the church for a while in her younger years. She rededicated her life to the service of the Lord in 2000. She believes that she never could have made it this far in life without God's loving presence. She is a devoted student of the scriptures, and among her favorites are 2 Chronicles 7:14, Psalm 139, Isaiah 61:1-3, and her favorite, Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Patricia Coleman has a large number of relatives, and next to her relationship with the Lord, family is the most important thing in her life. She is married to Reginald Coleman and is the mother of Naomi and Brian Lewis. She has three grandchildren.
