Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Bible studies are held each Tuesday at 11 a.m.

There will be no Bible study whenever bad weather causes the city schools to be closed (but we do meet if there is only a "delay" in opening the city schools)

The Tuesday group is currently examining the book of 1 Peter

New participants are always welcome

EXCEPT DURING the summer, a Bible study group meets at the church most Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the Hebrew and Christian scriptures, reflect on their meaning for the contemporary world, and engage in lively discussion about many important issues and concerns. There's also usually a lively discussion about ways to apply scripture in our lives and in our world.

Sessions begin at 11 a.m. and usually end at 12:15 p.m. or shortly thereafter.

Anyone is welcome, whether you are from Shiloh Old Site or another church -- or no church at all. Biblical books are explored with integrity and depth, drawing from careful contemporary scholarship, put forth in a way that anyone can understand. No advance preparation is required for those who participate.

These Tuesday morning sessions are held in Room 106 at the church's building at 801 Sophia Street in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

During past years, the Tuesday morning group has explored many different books of scripture, including Exodus, Ruth, Jeremiah, Amos, Habakkuk, Jonah, Luke, Mark, Romans, James, Jude, and Revelation. In October 2009, the group began a study of 1 Peter.

These Bible studies are sponsored by the Faith & Hope Club of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site), which provides the materials and resources for the group. Mark William Olson, a member of the club, serves as the group's leader. In previous seasons, All are welcome.
