Shiloh Old Site Youth Ministries Hospital and/or Nursing Home Visits
ABOUT ONCE A MONTH, Shiloh Old Site's youth make a visit to a hospital or nursing home to show the quiet love and gentle compassion that the Bible says will be the marks of those who are blessed. Each visit has its own character. But as an example, on December 20, 2004, the youth visited the pediatric ward of Mary Washington Hospital. They delivered beautiful filled Christmas stockings that had been made by Mrs. Valerie Lewis. The youth also visited with adult members of our congregation who were hospitalized at that time. Mrs. Patricia McLaurine did a great job coordinating the December 2004 visit, and the youth truly demonstrated their love for others and the true meaning of Christmas.
